  Harvest 2006!

Our own vineyard has produced its first crop (see vineyards page for additional history.)
(These pictures were taken on Mike's camera, by the timer and by Beth.)
(full size image 444Kb .jpg) This is the crew by the crusher for the history-making first harvest of Melon de Bourgogne in the Puget Sound Appellation! (left to right) Mike L, Moira Stratton, our son Ellis, Katy Wing, Beth S.

Again this year, we've leased one-half acre of Müller Thurgau grapevines from our neighbor, Bainbridge Island Vineyard and Winery. We harvested about 2 tons, yielding about 170 gallons.
