Schedule: Open this wknd & Poulsbo pouring
Our next official open day is this
weekend, 13,14-Jul.
This weekend is also Bastille Day,
the traditional French day of (amongst other events) new wine releases.
This is a
Winery Alliance of Bainbridge
Island event with all wineries
open both days. We'll be open 11am
'til
5pm, the other wineries open at
noon.
The long range weather forecast is for full out sun, so come on out and
enjoy a glass of wine from French winegrapes at the picnic table or
wandering the vineyard...
We're also pouring at Crimson Cove
in Poulsbo on Sat 13th. from 4pm during this months Poulsbo 2nd. Sat
Art Walk. Wine will be available for sale as well as tasting.
▪ Specials now available: mixed case -20%, MT vertical
Our special mixed
case (one of each of our 8 wines plus some dups) at 20% off has been popular so we're continuing this offer.
We're also really
excited about having 6 vintages of Estate grown Mueller Thurgau
available for vertical tastings. All library selections of the Mueller
are available now for $22/btl. Mix-n-match or get the whole 6 year
series for 20% off.

Website: New recipesLast weekend we bottled the 2012 Frambelle and had our executive chef
Andrew cater for the work party. It was a wonderful meal in lovely
weather at the picnic table in the vineyard. The menu was superb for a
summertime wine picnic. The recipes are
posted on the website: Grilled
Basil Chicken & Strawberry Salad, Bread & Htipiti (Greek Feta
& Pepper Spread), Orange Hazelnut Chocolate Balls.

Neighbor property for sale Ever
wanted to live next to a vineyard? Here's your chance! The neighbor
property to the SW is up for sale. It has a south-facing slope and was
in farming until the 1970's. It's immediately next to the Morales
Public Farmland property, which means there will never be further
development there, including part of the PV leased vineyard. Although
it is close to SR-305, it is in a hollow below the highway level, so
does not get that much traffic noise.

Vineyard: Leaf pullingWe're significantly behind in leaf pulling, so I'd love some help. If you're interested
in learning about grape growing, this is another important vineyard task you should learn about - please consider
joining our
helpers
email list. This helps get the sprays and sunshine fully into the fruit thus preventing Powdery Mildew and Botrytis mold.

Nominate your fave wine outlet I'm
planning to spend the next month trying for new outlets on the
peninsula to the south (of Poulsbo), and on the mainland (most anywhere
in western WA). If you have a favorite local wine shop, please reply to
this email and let me know. I'm also interested in restaurants, but
please consider primarily places that focus on locally-produced-food.
