Although this email list has been around for about a year, it has never worked properly until now, so I never noticed that nobody ever got emails, sigh... As you've probably just gotten a notice about the list moving to another server, the new list must be working now, yay! *2)* In the vineyard, we're on schedule for our first harvest from our *own* vineyard. We're expecting about a half-crop from our first planting (of 2004). This is the *Melon de Bourgogne* (AKA Muscadet) that we're so excited about. Ours is the only commercial planting of this grape in WA State. We're so sure that it'll make a fantastic wine here in the cool climate on west side of the Cascade mountains, that we've gambled additional plantings through 2006 on it! We'll know if it will indeed ripen fully here in just about a month, so stay tuned! *3)* In winery news: We've finished mudding/painting so it no longer looks like a workshop... We're in the process of developing a commercial quality label. We're working with Seattle artist Dianne Gardner to come up with something better than my old scanned images... We plan to bottle our Muller Thurgau harvested from the Bentryn farm next door soon. No date has been set yet, but it will be by the end of the year at the latest. *4)* If you're interested in helping out at Perennial Vinters, we could almost always use you -- please consider subscribing to the email list <pv-helpers at PerennialVintners.com>.
