Our vineyard is within a half-hour scenic ferry ride from downtown Seattle. As Seattle lies in the cooler Puget Sound AVA, we are specializing in delicate floral whites.

    • Müller Thurgau 2005     sold out
A lovely seafood wine. This wine is at it's best when young, with it's fresh fruity aromatics intact; please enjoy it by mid 2008.
See our Library wines page for more info.
    • Müller Thurgau 2006     now available      $16.00
We maintain a half-acre of grapes originally planted in 1981 by our neighbor Bainbridge Island Vineyards & Winery. From this block we are producing delicate floral wine in a clean (un-oaked) bone dry (swiss) style.
Tasting notes: This is a German cool climate wine, which are typically light, fruity, and lower in alcohol. Perennial Vintners wine is made in a dry style, with crisp acidity and overtones of peaches, apricots and pineapple. It was fermented entirely in stainless steel, and aged partially in neutral barrels to enhance complexity. An outstanding wine for matching with seafood.
    • Melon de Bourgogne (AKA Muscadet)
In 2004 we planted 100 vines of this grape, from which we now have about 30 gallons of wine in the tank from the 2006 harvest. We have enlarged this vineyard by another 150 plants in early 2005, and another 175 plants in Spring 2006, yielding perhaps as much as 60 gallons from 2007 onwards.

[update: Spring 2008] We have just completed planting another ~400 plants on an adjacent hillside. See our vineyards page for more details.

Our first harvest is too small for the traditional Muscadet-region style "sur lies" barrel aging, so we will be making it in a simple clean dry style. I'm afraid we do not anticipate releasing this wine at all due to the small amount.

Please see Our history with Melon and General information for more information about this wonderful yet unheralded wine.

    • Pinot Gris
We have hopes of producing a local Pinot Gris from the 2008 harvest. As this is very tentative, I'm afraid I can't go into further details just yet.
    • Siegerrebe
We hope to produce a dry version of this wine as we absolutely adore it, and it ripens so perfectly here in the PS AVA cool maritime climate. This will be from new plantings that have not even begun yet, so don't hold your breath waiting for it...

[Update Spring 2008] We have just completed planting about 1/2 acre (350 plants). See our vineyards page for more details.

    • Schoenberger
We hope to produce an off-dry wine as we enjoy this wine as a light sipping wine, somewhat like a Chenin Blanc. Our planting will give us it's first harvest in 2008.
    • Pinot Noir
In the even more distant future, we expect to plant some of our own red varieties including this and several lesser known overlooked varieties that are in trials around the Puget Sound AVA. Some of the names are Regent, Agria, Dunklefelder.
    • Muscat
We have a tiny planting of an early-ripening Muscat that we hope can be made into a dessert wine in the far distant future.
    • White sparkling wine
Lastly, we've made a tiny quantity of a Champagne style (Methode Champenoise) sparkling wine from Siegerrebe grapes. Putting it simply, this wine is thrilling! We hope to make some some commercial quantities of this sort of wine as well.
