(Muscadet-style)
Dry white wine

2006

Estate bottled
Puget Sound Appellation

Alcohol 12% by volume

We've made this French winegrape (known to every Frenchmen as Muscadet) into a lovely Chardonnay-like wine that goes incredibly well with any seafood. Also goes well on a hot day with cheeses and barbecued vegetables. No need to cellar, it's best enjoyed young.

We are anticipating harvest of our first 100 plants this Fall, probably about 1st week October, 2006.

The rear label sums it up well -- this wine is similar to a typical Chardonnay in style and character, though more delicate and with more finesse.

From the winemaker's family experience, we've tried our Melon with all kinds of fish -- often a difficult pairing -- and always been very pleased with the results. We're willing to bet you won't find another wine that goes as well with so many different types of fish.

Our goal will be to make an excellent food wine that's fresh and ready to drink. We don't intend to make a wine that will improve much with age, be sure to enjoy it while showing off it's freshness.
